Removable Dental Prosthesis

Being able to chew food properly is essential not only for nutrition but also for overall health and well-being. If you're missing teeth and want to improve your ability to eat and speak comfortably, we can help. At Brookline Dental Center, we create natural-looking full and partial dentures designed to restore function and confidence—often so discreet they're virtually unnoticeable.

Complete Dentures

If you've lost all of your teeth due to gum disease, decay, or injury, complete dentures can restore both your smile and your quality of life. Replacing missing teeth helps support your facial structure, preventing the sunken appearance that can result from tooth loss, and it makes daily activities like eating and speaking easier and more enjoyable.

There are two main types of full dentures:

  • Conventional dentures are created and placed after all remaining teeth are removed and the gums have fully healed—a process that may take several months.
  • Immediate dentures are prepared in advance and inserted on the same day as the tooth removal, so you don't have to go without teeth during the healing process. These are made based on detailed measurements and models taken at a prior appointment.

Daily Care for Denture Wearers

Even with full dentures, maintaining good oral hygiene is important. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently clean your gums, tongue, and the roof of your mouth each morning before inserting your dentures. This helps stimulate circulation, remove plaque, and support tissue health.
